Richard’s love and skill for the building business was nurtured in high school and refined in college where he learned the details of the residential building business while working hands on. After graduating from Guildford College in 1972 with a degree in business management, Richard worked with local builders and Realtors until 1976 when Richard and his father started Tall House Building Company. For 32 years Tall House Building Company, under Richard’s leadership, rose to the top of custom builders in the Triangle area and three (3) times was voted the best in North Carolina and the recipient of innumerable awards and honors.
Richard and his wife, Fayeson, live in Raleigh. Richard is heavily committed to continuing building his business and personal life on Godly principles and character. Richard has served as a deacon, elder and on several building committees in his church as well as on the Board of many Christian non-profit organizations, including Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Camp Oak Hill and New Life Camp.
